Getting There

Anyone who is concerned about traveling to Casa Felix and would like some extra options or tips please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us, we are happy to help! We have outlined some options below for getting to Casa Felix, whether by car or train.

To get to Casa Felix, you have to drive 20 minutes south from Barcelona Airport, and then another 15 minutes by a winding road between vineyards and pine forests to get to Casa Felix. There’s no public transportation to get here, as it’s hidden in the hills of the Garraf, so a rental car is the most convenient, but you can take a train or bus from the Airport (or the city of Barcelona) to Sitges, and then take a taxi from there to Casa Felix, if you don’t plan to use the car much.

Some families have also already planned to rent a car while in Spain and carpooling may be an option if you would like to visit Sitges during your time at Casa Felix.

DRIVING FROM THE AIRPORT

  • Take C32 from Barcelona or airport, stay on the motorway through the tunnels and through the toll booth (€6.15 payment required).
  • Take exit 28 for C-15B toward Sant Pere de Ribes Est
  • At the roundabout take the first exit
  • At the next round about take the 2nd exit
  • After a few hundred metres be sure to take the ramp to the right towards Olivella (it is sign posted)
  • At the top of the ramp is another roundabout, again take the exit towards Olivella (it is sign posted)
  • Follow the curvy narrow road for about 5 minutes, ignore any housing developments on your left that may say Olivella, you need to go to the old town (CASC ANTIC) and so you have to keep going past the housing development until the road forks, you take the right fork towards Olivella (signposted) and follow an even more narrow road all the way to Olivella old town (another 5 minutes) at the top of the hill.
  • On arriving to Olivella you will see Casa Felix on a corner on the left (just beside the bus stop), if you continue on to the right (past the bins on your right)
  • If you need to ask for directions ask for the Olivella AYUNTAMIENTO (town hall) as Casa Felix is just before that.
  • Enter this address into Google Maps: Casa Felix, BV-2111, s/n, 08818 Olivella, Barcelona, Spain

TAXI FROM THE AIPORT OR SITGES

  • If you are traveling in a group, it may be worth considering taking a taxi to Sitges/Casa Felix. Barcelona Airport to Casa Felix is approximately a 30 min taxi and cost around €80.
  • For direct transfers from the airport, we recommend using Sun Transfers to get from the airport to the villa or Sitges town. This option is more convenient and affordable than jumping in a taxi at the airport. Grab a couple of people and take the transfer together. When booking your transfer, enter ‘Olivella’ into your drop off location
  • Rideshares, such as Uber and Cabify (the “Uber” of Spain) are available at the airport and in Sitges, but Taxi’s are also readily available and more economical.
  • FREENOW is an app that allows you to book traditional taxi services directly on your phone.
  • If you are in Sitges and need a taxi to Casa Felix, we recommend you book with Taxi Sitges, which is available 24 hours a day.

TO SITGES BY TRAIN

If you are commuting from the city of Barcelona to Sitges we highly recommend the train. The journey is really beautiful along the coastline and there is a taxi rank as soon as you come out of the station (all Sitges taxi drivers are very familiar with Casa Felix and it is a 10 minute drive from this station).

The Sitges train service is available from three different train stations in Barcelona:

Barcelona-Estació de França
This station is located next to the Ciutadella Park on Avinguda Marqués de l’Argentera 1, between the neighborhoods of La Barceloneta and La Ribera (also known as the Born neighborhood).
Metro L4
Barcelona-Passeig de Gràcia
Passeig de Gràcia is an underground railway and metro station located on the boulevard from which it takes its name at the height of Carrer Aragó (access available in front of Gaudí’s Casa Batlló on Passeig de Gràcia, 43).
Metro L2, L3 & L4.
Barcelona-Sants
Located in the Sants neighbourhood (Plaça dels Països Catalans, s/n), it is the main station for long distance national and international trains.

There are no direct trains from Barcelona Airport to Sitges. Therefore, it is necessary to take the C2 RENFE train from Terminal 2 to El Prat de Llobregat which is the first stop after the airport. You can then catch a train to Sitges from this station and one of us can pick you up from Sitges/book a taxi for the short drive to Casa Felix (€24).

If you are arriving at Terminal 1 of Barcelona Airport, there is a free shuttle bus that will take you to the train station which is located at Terminal 2.
